CDMI offers preformed ballast block for each of the Lite-Site™ foundation sizes.

CDMI’s Ballast blocks simply set in place into the steel Lite-Site™ foundation.  Once the ballast blocks are set in the foundation, they create a level surface area to mount equipment, H Frames, Ice Bridge, etc.  There are no specialized tools or pre-tensioning requirements to install the ballast.  All ballast blocks meet or exceed a 4,000 psi minimum concrete strength.  CDMI sources pre-formed concrete ballast from our local precast partner and they have been supplying CDMI with precision blocks since 2008.  CDMI can work with precast vendors local to your site to source ballast.

Ballast Requirements

Lite-Site™ 10 foundation requires (8) ballast block at 4,000 lbs ea or 32,000 lbs total

Lite-Site™ 15 foundation requires (8) ballast block at 6,250 lbs each or 50,000 lbs total

Lite-Site™ 20 foundation requires (8) ballast block at 12,500 lbs each or 100,000 lbs total

Lite-Site™ 25 foundation ranges from 150,000 lbs of ballast to 320,000 lbs of ballast and comes as stackable blocks. Each block has a keyway that sets in the previous block. The top finishing block creates the same level pad for mounting equipment just like the other CDMI foundations and ballast. The bottom section of block that sets into the foundation is roughly 13,000 lbs and each additional block added weights roughly 6,250 lbs.
